It is said that the Vikings discovered the New World first. Although not a thousand of years we have been diving around Phi Phi since 1992 and the Viking Divers business has been established since 1998 and has featured in travel books (Lonely Planet and Rough Guide) as well as magazine articles around the world.

Known for giving customers the time they demand and deserve, we have established a reputation as a safe and relaxed Dive Centre. Viking Divers is not a mass producing Open Water Diver factory, we focus on making you love diving as much as we do. And we do love diving!!

PADI Dive Centre / SSI 5 Star Instructor Training Facility

Viking Divers is affiliated with PADI and SSI. We teach a full range of courses from PADI and SSI, ranging from the very beginner to professional level. As a SSI 5 Star Instructor Training Facility we can take you all the way from you first breath underwater to actually teaching divers yourself, all in your language!

The best dives sites in Thailand

Viking Divers dive the famous dive sites nearby Phi Phi Island such as the Bida Islands, Phi Phi Ley, King Cruiser wreck, Koh Haa and of course Hin Daeng and Hin Muang, which is well known for its frequent visitor, the Manta Ray. All sites generally boast fantastic variations of marine life, hard and soft coral gardens, turtles, the local Leopard Sharks and if you’re lucky you may even see a Whale Shark!

Most of our dive sites are only thirty minutes away offering you a two tank trip in only half a day. We have dives for the novice diver as well as the experienced and veteran diver, great places to learn to dive or brush up on your skills, wall dives, drift dives, pinnacle dives and we even have a +30m wreck dive! All in all you'll be hard pushed to be able to find such a diversity of dive sites that are within easy reach of such an idyllic island.

Our Boats and Staff

Our two dive boats have been designed to be the most comfortable boats on the island. Built with safety in mind they have oxygen and first aid equipment onboard. With sun deck on the top and a spacious shaded area at the back, there's plenty of room to kit up without being cramped. Viking Divers excellent staff always ensures that your trip never feels crowded or impersonal. Our Dive masters and Instructors only ever take out small groups so you'll be ensured a personal and relaxed service. The Viking Staff has an impressive knowledge about our reefs, spotting the special things that you would swim pass not even knowing they are there to be found!

EcoLogical

Introducing SSI’s Ecological philosophy to students at an early stage in their dive education is essential for us at Viking Divers. We are active in beach clean ups on Phi Phi Island. Viking Divers was also active in the clean up after the 2004 disaster, to be able to bring the divers back to the fantastic Thai waters. As a responsible Dive School we loudly say NO TO SHARK FINNING!
